YAB Dato' Seri Nizar Jamaluddin According to reliable information from a top brass PAS leader, Dato' Seri Nizar Jamaluddin may be the candidate for the Bukit Gantang by-election. Announcement may have to be dragged on till just right before the nomination day to avoid counter strategy from UMNO.
PAS and PR leaders feel strongly that Dato' Seri Nizar would be able to ride along with his popularity in Perak and easily win the poll. The victory will allow Pakatan Rakyat to hammer down Barisan National and UMNO especially when Najib is lightly to take over as Prime Minister come April.
Pakatan Rakyat leadership is also brain-storming on contingecy plan as it is anticipating that Najib will employ more high-handed tactics and tighthen the freedom of speech and press.
